Narumi Risa is an eccentric, intellectually brilliant detective with a pen fetish. She has been holed up in the 6th Section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigation Division's Special Investigation Task Force, located deep underground, and has been ridiculed as the "Warehouse Witch," yet has been solving one difficult cold case after another. However, in the past six years, her partner, the physically strong and passionate detective Yashiro Tomo, has been transferred.
Furthermore, with no section chief in sight, the 6th Section is in danger of being disbanded. Amidst all this, a new member, Hinako Mutsu, appears to rescue the disheartened Risa. Hinako forms a new partnership with Risa, and together they weave a new story.
